AEK for derby with Olympiakos: “We have to be very careful”

PAE AEK issued an announcement asking its fans to be especially careful, once again, in the derby with Olympiacos for the 4th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.

Friends of AEK,

Our team returns to its official competitive duties with a derby at the OPAP Arena, the first of a series of difficult matches and at the same time demanding in terms of conditions for their smooth conduct.

We do not need to analyze the reasons why, especially in this particular match on Sunday night (17/9, 21.30) we must be particularly careful, not to deal with the opponent at all and not to pay attention to behaviors that may aim to provoke us.

In terms of security measures for this particular match, everything will move within the framework set by the government since August, with an increased presence of the police. We must show a spirit of cooperation with all those responsible for maintaining order.

The doors of the OPAP Arena will open at 18.30. There will be strict pre-checks, in addition to checks at the entrances. It goes without saying that no one without a ticket can approach the stadium.

The possession and use of smoke generators, firecrackers, flares and generally flammable materials is also strictly prohibited. Penalties will be severe for anything similar found in controls. Our stadium security camera system will, as always, be in full operation and any offending behavior will be flagged. Let’s be especially careful for safety reasons, but also to not create problems in our team’s competitive pace.

We also remind you that it is not possible to enter the stadium with a helmet.

Once again we emphasize that no child without a ticket can enter the stadium and once again we ask you to take this seriously to avoid inconvenience at the entrances for you and the rest of our fans.
