For the fact that he has not scored even in the data of his derby PAOK by Mars spoke o Ali Samata.

The striker of the “black and white” gave statements to the NOVA camera ahead of the match with the “yellows”, stressing that he feels justified in coming to his team Razvan Lucescuadding that his team will have to show up with the right mentality in Toumba to get the three points of victory.

Ali Samata’s statements in detail:

About how he feels:

I feel good. I’m coming off an injury but all week I trained really well, I did the recovery I wanted and now I feel ready».

On whether the break from the nationals helped him to train:

It helped me 100%. I stayed here, I trained a lot with the team, with the players who stayed here, with the coaching staff. I’m starting to understand better what the coach is asking of me. This will help me for the games to come, but also to adapt better to the team».

On whether he feels justified in his decision to come to PAOK:

Yes. I don’t think it needs much explanation, even before I made the decision to sign my contract with PAOK, my soul and my heart were already there, even before I landed here in Thessaloniki. As time goes by I feel more justified. I’m here and I want to fight as hard as possible and help my team».

On the fact that he hasn’t scored yet:

I definitely believe in quality, I know who I am and I know my job is to score. To be honest yes, I’m looking for the goals. In the team they don’t push me for it, I obviously have the passion to get it done as quickly as possible. This pressure makes me more focused on doing my job. The fans support me a lot and that helps me not to be a burden. I’m working hard and I believe that will translate into goals at some point, without feeling pressure».

For the derby with Mars:

I want to experience the derby. I didn’t spend a lot of time looking for information about the game. I want to live it to the fullest. I think it’s a game where we have to respect the opposition, but we have to go in and do our job on our pitch. The most critical part will be the psychological area. We will have to show up with the right mindset to get the three points».
