Behind her wheel McLaren will remain for – at least – three more years o Oscar Piastri!
In his maiden season at Formula 1, the 22-year-old Australian driver has impressed everyone with his performances in these first 15 Grands Prix of the year, leading him to be regarded – and not justifiably – as one of the greatest and rising stars the crown of motorsport!
His contract with the British team was valid until 2024, but the two sides reached an agreement to extend their cooperation for another two years and until the end of 2026!
Somehow, McLaren “bonded” an extremely young and highly promising duo, since, in addition to Piastri and Lando Norris is bound by a multi-year cooperation contract!
“I am excited to remain with the McLaren team for many years to come. I want to fight for the top positions in the rankings and I am excited about the team’s vision. I feel at home already with the friendships I’ve made and how I’ve been welcomed. The team’s dedication makes me feel valued and the team’s desire to be a part of it for the long term made my decision easier.” said Oscar Piastri immediately after the contract renewal was made official.
