Aris: He presented the new jerseys and the naming sponsorship

With the start of the 2023/24 season just around the corner, the KAE Aris tonight presented to the world the new team appearancesbut also the sponsorship group naming.



In an event held at noon on Sunday (24/09) at the “ONOMA” hotel, the “yellows” announced the start of its collaboration with Tournikiotis Midea Group.

At the hotel “ONOMA” took place at noon on Sunday 24/09 the official presentation of the jersey of KAE ARIS Midea, and the naming sponsorship of the team by the Tournikiotis Midea Group.

The “present” was given by the president of the Tournikiotis Group, Kalliopi Tournikiotis, the member of the board of directors of the Group, Haris Moschos and the commercial director of Midea MBT Greece, Ilias Kastrinos.

The management of KAE ARIS was represented by the president, Haris Papageorgiou and the vice-president and president of the AS, Lefteris Arvanitis. The team jersey for the 2023-24 season was presented by Vassilis Toliopoulos, Lefteris Bohorides, Ismael Sanogo and Roberto Galinat. Present were the coach of ARIS Midea, Yiannis Kastritis, his direct partner, Giorgos Sigalas and the team’s team manager, Christos Tapoutos.

During the event, two videos were shown, one about the return of ARIS Midea to Europe and one with the highlights of last season, which marked the beginning of the cooperation with the Tournikiotis Midea Group.

The president of KAE ARIS Midea, Haris Papageorgiou, took the floor first.

“I would like to thank you all for accepting our invitation. Aris is a team that has written a glorious history in the past. In the last few years, like all the big teams, we went through a period of difficulties, but already last year we met the representatives of the Tournikiotis group, we walked together and decided together to upgrade our relationship for this year’s competitive year on commercial terms.”

Afterwards, the vice president of KAE, Lefteris Arvanitis, spoke.

“This very beautiful collaboration started last year. The embrace of ARIS is very large, and it already included the Tournikiotis group, which this year will travel with ARIS to 9 countries. Since ancient times sponsors have been prominent and have helped the arts and sports flourish. All of ARIS thanks the Tournikotis group for this cooperation. I wish we have health and a very good Greek and European championship”.

Then the president of the Group, Kalliopi Tournikiotis, took the floor.

“I would like to thank ARIS very much, this is the second year we are here. The Tournikioti group is a long-standing company, a giant company, it has made leaps in recent years in the Greek, but also in the European market. Until last year we knew ARIS as a historic team with a glorious past, but with our cooperation last year we appreciated the spirit of the team, we felt part of it, we appreciated both the athletes and the coach but above all the dedicated fans. This year when ARIS returns to Europe, we are by his side and we support him.”

The commercial director of Midea MBT Greece, Ilias Kastrinos, pointed out.

“Our group is an exclusive representative of heating and central air conditioning systems. The sponsorship with ARIS goes into the second consecutive year and this gives a special importance to the cooperation we will have and also to the market of Northern Greece. In the jersey of ARIS we have placed the top of our range, Midea pumps. Our company, like ARIS, has expanded its roster, i.e. its products. I would like to wish the team good success and we, the sponsors, are by their side every step of the way.”

The marketing director of KAE ARIS Midea, Kanellis Partalidis, emphasized:

“It is a great joy because I see the efforts of a group of people bearing fruit and that today we are concluding an important agreement both for ARIS itself and for the whole of Greek basketball. It is very important to recognize the value of those who manage to achieve. This is a legacy so that we continue the same course in the future. It is important that they have felt part of the ARIS family and I hope that this collaboration will continue for several years and that together we will write golden pages and great successes in Greece and Europe”.

Afterwards, the executives of the Tournikiotis Group answered the questions of the media representatives.

-Last year a sponsorship started, this year there was an upgrade with the naming. What were the reasons that led to this particular event?

HARIS MOSCHOU: “The first year was informative, we tasted the germ of the team, we already had knowledge of the past and supported ARIS. We knew it was a huge team that united all fans regardless of preference. Seeing the effort made by the members of the team, we wanted to upgrade our cooperation, the connection with the name has a main future goal, we want ARIS to grow stronger. The page for ARIS is turning and we are here to support him in his future successes”.

-Given that in the past the companies that collaborated with ARIS had significant profits, what was the feedback of the first year of the collaboration?

ILIAS KASTRINOS: “The first year was highly successful, although it was a test framework, our group has growth and very strong partnerships which we are trying to develop, the ARIS team will play a key role in this. This year, with the naming that has been done, we believe that it will end up in a very good result full of successes”.

-For the other European teams in which the Midea group is a sponsor:

ILIAS KASTRINOS: “We have managed to show the “mother” company in China the dynamics of the team and that is why this year we managed to convince them to expand and renew our cooperation. This year things will be better since the team will be playing in Europe, you will see on the pitch prominent members of our group in the European games.”
