Escape with a reversal for AEK in Leoforo!

by

THE AEK prevailed upon him Panathinaikou with 2-1 and upset, in the Avenue derby for the 5th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League and got him close to -1covering the “gela” with Panserraikos.

“Clover” entered well, preceded by fantastic goal by Djuricic in the 10′but the “Union” showed character, gradually took control, initially reaching a tie with Cumber in the 36′ and finally in the big “double”, forcing her opponent at the same time in his first defeatwith its goal Pinedain the 70′!

Bad refereeing by the Italian Socza, with errors mainly in the disciplinary control, it should had expelled Galanopoulosin the 59th minute.

The next exciting matchday finds Jovanovic’s team playing him Star in Tripoli, with Almeida’s band welcoming him Fearlesswith both matches taking place on Thursday (09/28).

In the minds of the coaches:

THE Panathinaikos lined up with two changes in relation to Villarreal. Form it 4-2-3-1, Brignoli in goal and Kochira, Senkefeld, Magnusson and Huancar four at the back. Ruben and Vilena were the central midfielders, while Djuricic and Mancini fought on the “wings” and Bernard behind Ioannidis, who was at the top of the attack.

THE AEK on the other hand, it “descended” with six new ones faces compared to the 11 against Brighton, system 4-4-2 and Stankovic under the goalposts. Rota, Mitoglou, Callens and Mohammadi formed the four in defense and Galanopoulos-Pineda the duo in the axis. With Eliasan and Gacinovic at the two ends of the midfield and Zuber-Garcia duo in the attack.

The match:

Panathinaikos started the derby with a handicap, after all just in the 4th minute he saw Magnusson leave injured, after an aerial duel with Eliasson and falling badly to the ground. However, he took possession and threatened first, two minutes later…

When, thanks to the quick movement of the ball, Ioannidis “emptied” Cullens, he passed to Djuricic who fed Vilena but he made a poor finish. As the phase progressed, however, the Dutch midfielder shot again, outside the area with Stankovic pushing hard into his left corner!

Finally, the “greens” took the lead in the 10th minute, after an incredible shot by Djuricic, from the side and right of the area, with which he sent the ball with a “lightning” in the closed corner of the helpless even to… raise his hands Stankovicfor 1-0!

AEK missed the opportunity, twice in fact, to equalize in the 12th minute. With Garcia coming into the box and shooting, Brignoli saves and the ball goes back to the Jamaican striker who shoots again but Villena makes the save!

The game continued to have a good pace thereafter, but also some hard hitting. Panathinaikos did not hold the ball and tried to press on the axis, when the opponent started their attacks.

As a result, the “yellow and black” take measures on the field and “touch” the ball to Garcia, to threaten, with Zuber being further back, in order to “see the field”.

In fact, he was again the first to come within a breath of 1-1, a close-range header in the 24th minute, which, however, led to another incredible intervention by Brignoli!

Having managed to “deactivate” Mancini and Bernard, mainly with Ioannidis fighting alone, AEK continued to patiently search for an equaliser, which they finally achieved in the 36th minute…

As from Eliasson’s high cross in the area, Juancar cannot win the duel with Garcia, in a phase where there are protests for a foul against him but he has probably taken a penalty, with the ball ending up “laid” to Zuber, who sent it into the net with a nice shottying the match.

With both teams going into the locker room at 1-1 at the break.

The second half started with a lot of tension, loud markings and protests on both sides, while it was again the “clover” that recorded the first remarkable phase.

In the 53rd minute, specifically, with Bernard committing a foul from the right side, García cutting and the incoming Villena catching a direct shot inside the area but the ball going over the goal…

The game looked more balanced as it progressed, with Panathinaikos making it difficult for the “Union” to develop now, while seeing this, Almeida’s triple change followed shortly after the completion of an hour of the game.

Of course, there were also some wrong whistles by the referee Sacho, most notably Galanopoulos not being sent off in the 59th minute, for the upset to come on the part of the guests in the 70th minute. With Zuber leaving the area and turning to the penalty spot where Pineda – who had come on as a substitute – caught Brignoli and scored, making it 1-2!

Yes, initially the assistant indicated offside, but after a VAR check the goal counted normallyfor the complete restoration of AEK in the derby…

MVP: THE Steven Zuber he is entitled to the title of the most valuable player in AEK and by extension the match The Swiss showed even more when he went further back and centrally, instead of next to Garcia who started, playing as a “ten”. He scored his team’s equalizing goal, “served” the turnover goal and generally had a very full presence!

the “whistle”: Recital of other decisions by Sotsa. Initially, in the 1-1 phase, there is a penalty by Juancar on Garcia but he lets the phase develop. In the second half, Almeida’s characteristic move to tell Jonsson to go on in the match, after Galanopoulos’ foul on Djuricic, who did not see the yellow card – it would have been a second one – in the 49th minute, also “exposes” the Italian referee! Who does not give a card to Simanski’s foul on Ioannidis and at the same time does not leave the advantage, while Bernard leaves, a few minutes later. In general, he did it… mandara in the disciplinary control and not only…
