Thriller again in Caesariani! THE Ghoul came close to a very difficult victory with his goal Swing at 85′ but the spirited one Kifissia with an improbable goal of his Lumor in the fifth minute of stoppage time, she tied the match and got an important point for her Stoiximan Super League 6th matchday (1-1).
Absolute… division in the match, as the two teams each had a half, a post and a… goal. In 9th place Lamia rose to the top of the standings with their third draw of the year, while Kifisia was left with five points and the 11th place.
In the minds of the coaches:
With many changes and a 4-3-3 system, Kifissia was lined up by Yiannis Anastasiou. Anagnostopoulos in goal, Masouras, Loumor, Vafeas, Tsapan in defense. Papasavvas, with Ipalibos and Iliev in the central trio, while Bifuma, Barbosa and Ozegovic were in the attack.
On the other hand, Leonidas Vokolos with 4-4-1-1 lined up Lamia. Koselev under the posts, with the defense consisting of Simon, Tzanetopoulos, K. Papadopoulos and Sidclay. In the axis, Santana, Nunes and Slivka, while behind Carlitos and Longo will move Zoran Tosic.
The match:
The match started quite dynamically as Lamia came forward immediately looking for a quick goal. The ball reached Tosic, he entered the area and shot with his left, but Anagnostopoulos easily blocked.
The game turned into a… monopoly of possession of the ball, since the Vokolos team with first “violin” Karlitos had the possession trying to create conditions in the home team’s area.
In the 18th minute, Lamia came a breath away from the goal. Foul from outside the area with Tosic taking it and sending the ball onto the post, while as the phase progressed, Simon shot over the posts. The minutes were ticking and Kifisia was trying to take measures on the field, but Lamia’s defense was well fortified.
Yannis Anastasiou’s team threatened for the first time in the 24th minute when Bifuma came out into the empty space, stepped into the area and shot at Koselef. The hosts stepped up, with Iliev in the 33rd minute carrying the ball outside the area and shooting wide.
Lamia “answered” the home team’s threats, when in the 38th minute Carlitos found Slivka in a wonderful way on the right side of the area, he turned parallel to Longo, but the visitors’ forward failed to push the ball into the net with his head. 0-0 to stay until the end and be the score of the half.
Kifisia got off to a better start in the second half, which tried to take advantage in the 49th minute of Vafeas’ good turn in the area, with Ozegovic not managing to place and the ball ending up sideways. In 54′, Lamia developed from the left with Tosic crossing into the “box” where Longo shot, sending the ball parallel to the goal.
The home side made it 1-1 seconds later when Masouras’s incredible shot from the right sent the ball onto Koselev’s crossbar and the ball went wide.
The two coaches proceeded with corrective actions with Yiannis Anastasiou replacing Tetei in the match. The young striker threatened as soon as he entered the match, when he found himself outside the area from Iliev’s cross and shot wide, while three minutes later, Bifuma passed the ball to him at the same time, but was unable to push it into the net.
Kifissia continued to have the… monopoly and in the 77th minute they threatened Koselef’s goal with individual energy, with the visitors’ goalkeeper making an impressive save.
Vokolos also made the necessary corrective moves by putting Tsiloulis and Akounias in the match in a move that, as it turned out, changed the match. In the 82nd minute, Tsiloulis made a cross from the left, Longo took the header and Akounia, with a terrific shot, coldly executed Anagnostopoulos for 0-1!
And while everything showed that Kifisia would leave with an important “double”, Kifisia did… checkmate! Attack from the right, the ball soon reached Loumor who with a fearsome shot with his left foot, outside the area, sent the ball onto the post and then into the net of Koselev forming the final 1-1!
MVP: Loumor’s performance is touching and he was rewarded with an incredible goal at the end! The Nigerian, ran too much, had enough problems with Tosic, but in the second half with Kifisia taking measures on the field, he rose to the occasion and redeemed his night with the… equalizer!
The whistle: In a match divided by chances, posts and goals o Alexandros Katsikogiannis brought the complaints to an equal level. The Greek referee initially forced the Lamia players to protest for a penalty in the 78th minute, while the home team then requested that the last of the penalties be attributed to Ozegovic’s fall in the area just before the equaliser.
