On October 7 at Herodius the concert is expected to take place “IONIA-GATE IN TIME” with the participation of the announcer of OPAP Arena, Costas Terzakis.

“One of our people, a person from AEK, will next Saturday be one of the central figures of an evening of memory and honor for Refugee Hellenism. The versatile Kostas Terzakis, the announcer of OPAP ARENA at our team’s matches, is the lyricist of the 23 songs that will be heard at the concert entitled “IONIA-GATE IN TIME” on October 7th at the Herodes of Atticus Conservatory.
It is an original musical journey from 1922 to the present with 23 new songs, which are a hymn to the honor, sacrifices, pride and achievements of our uprooted ancestors, songs that bridge these 101 years and “speak” to the heart and in our identity. Among these 23 songs composed by Thanos Georgoulas is also included the beloved “Nea Philadelphia” that we hear at OPAP ARENA with the voice of Kostas Makedonas.
It will not be a night of pain and mourning for the homelands we left behind. It will be a nostalgic look back at the chronicle of the new life that the refugees of ’22 started in the lands of mother Greece. And part of this life and action is also AEK, the association that for a century has been one of the greatest symbols of the Refugees.
Melina Aslanidou, Gerasimos Andreatos, Akis Deiximos will be the performers of the songs. A total of 137 artists will be on the Herodeion stage, in an event with a modern and modern approach that keeps the memory of millions of Greeks of Pontus and Asia Minor alive. Kostas Terzakis, originally from Aivali on his mother’s side, signs the lyrics of the songs and the texts, while he will dress up the narration with his beloved characteristic voice.
