Ataman felt unwell and did not attend the press conference of the final

Without his presence Ergin Ataman held the press conference of the Super Cup final, where the Olympic won the title beating Panathinaikos 75-51.

The Turkish coach did not show his presence. as he felt unwellwith his partner Savva Kamperidis to make statements:

“First of all, congratulations to Olympiakos, they obviously won fairly… The way we entered the game was obviously not the way it should have been. Olympiacos dominated energy, took us completely out of rhythm, won all the duels. We also missed some easy layups and spot up shots that could have kept us close early on.

All this put a lot of pressure on the team, so we ended up with a disastrous first half. It was difficult for the team to come back. There was an effort afterwards, we found some shots, created some phases but it was very difficult to come back. The team is obliged to overcome every bad result and move forward. Euroleague starts next Friday, we play again against Olympiakos, obviously we have to change a lot of things. Our goal is one and only, to start the year in the Euroleague with a win».
