Arsenal “killed” and Lance climbed to the top, split in Eindhoven-Seville!

Ups and downs to 2nd group of the Champions League, with the end of the 2nd matchday!

The impressive Lance found himself behind in the score from the 14th minute of the home match against the group favourite, Arsenalbut finally managed to pull off the coup (2-1) and to celebrate its first victory in the Champions League after 19 whole years, while at the same time forcing the “gunners” into their first defeat for this season!

Matsara was also the other game of the group between Eindhoven and Seville! With four goals in the second half, the Andalusians twice took the lead but leveled for the final 2-2 in the fifth minute of stoppage time!

Lance-Arsenal 2-2



The match started with the home team coming forward and creating the first scoring opportunity in the 5th minute, with Danso sending the ball just wide after a corner kick. However, it was Arsenal who took the lead in the 14th minute when, following Thomason’s errant back pass, Saka stole in and fed Jesuswho sent the ball into the net for 0-1.

Lance found an answer and equalized in the 25th minute, when after a careless pass by Raya, Machado stole and in the development of the phase the Thomason he squared perfectly for 1-1. In the 49th minute, Saba reacted correctly and blocked Trosar’s impressive shots. In the 67th minute, Tomiyasu shot from an advantageous position, but Saba had an answer again, with Lance making the big comeback in the 69th minute, following a cross from Frankovski and an ideal finish from the phase. Wow. Arsenal then pressed, but couldn’t find the equaliser, staying with the 3 points they took in the opener.

Eindhoven-Seville 2-2



The other game of the group, the one between Eindhoven and Sevilla, which was held in the Netherlands and the “Philips Stadion”, was also exciting. The hosts had the initiative of the movements in the first half, but without managing to “translate” their superiority into a lead.

In the 52nd minute, Pedrosa scored for Sevilla, but his goal was disallowed by VAR for handball, while in the 68th minute the Andalusians finally opened the scoring, after a header assisted by Sergio Ramos and another header by Goodleywhich ended up in the net.

Eindhoven equalized in the 83rd minute, with De Jong to take a fine penalty from Ramos to Tilman, however the Andalusians responded immediately, finding a goal seconds later after Sanchez’s cross and header En Nesiri. However, Eindhoven did not have their last word, drawing the final 2-2 after full time in front of the visitors’ goal and a goal by Tese.
