PAE Panathinaikos announces the inclusion in its roster in the form of a loan of Mijat Gacinovic. The Serbian midfielder belongs to the German Hoffenheim, with which his loan was agreed until June 2022.

Mijat Gacinovic was born on February 8, 1995, in the Serbian city of Novi Sad, and his parents are from Bosnia. He started at a young age in Leotard, before joining the Vojvodina academy, where he took his first professional steps.

At the age of 20, the German Eintracht Frankfurt included him in its roster, where he immediately made his presence felt with his abilities, after scoring in the first leg of the Bundesliga against Nuremberg, in the first match he scored (final score 1-1) and in the second gave the assist for the “golden” goal that gave the stay to Eintracht. In 2018, he was crowned German cup winner after Eintracht won the final with 3-1 against Bayern, in a final where he even scored. In the 2018-2019 season, he arrived shortly before participating in the Europa League final, but was eliminated in the semifinals by Chelsea, with Gacinovic being a key member of Eidracht throughout. In the summer of 2020 he moved to Hoffenheim in an exchange with Steven Zuber.

At national team level, he played for Bosnia’s K15, before finally choosing Serbia and being named an international of all ages. He has 23 participations in the men’s national team of Serbia.
