The Israel has been living a nightmare since Saturday morning (7/10), when a rocket attack was launched from the Gaza Strip by the Palestinian organization Hamas, which was able to infiltrate the country. Hundreds of Palestinians and Israelis have since lost their lives, including civilians, while there are thousands injured and many hostages.
This dramatic situation has obviously affected sports as well. Already, the match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Armani Milano has been postponed, while the Israeli team is considering a temporary move to Cyprus.
Another solution that Maccabi is currently promoting is the reversal of the series of games with Valencia. With the conflicts in Israel raging, his team Oded Katas aims to avoid playing at home. For this reason, he will request to play on 18/10 in Spain against Valenciaand to deal with it within March 28, i.e. in reverse in relation to the existing program.
If this happens, Maccabi will play three consecutive away games with Valencia, Panathinaikos and Monacohoping that the situation will have de-escalated by the end of October so that it can return to its “base”.
