In Cyprus was found the Andreas Zaglis in view of its co-organization Eurobasket 2025 with KOK.
Its Executive Secretary General FIBA during his presence in Nicosia he had a meeting with the President of the Cyprus Sports Organization, Andrea Michaelidisand the General Director of the KOA, Mary Charalambous – Papamiltiadis.
THE Zanglisamong other things, he was also at the Presidential Palace where he spoke with the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, while he had a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Basketball Federation and the Board of Directors of EuroBasket 2025, where issues related to the development of the sport in the Cyprus and the course of actions concerning the holding of EuroBasket 2025.

“It is my great pleasure to be in Cyprus and I had a full day with several meetings. We have received a warm welcome and it is clear to us as FIBA how important Eurobasket 2025 is on the agenda of the sports community as well as the state, which comes at an exceptional time, with the presence of European athletes in FIBA events but also in NBA. I believe that we will have a landmark sports event for Cyprus sports.
I had followed the process of preparing the application file for EuroBasket 2025, as well as the next steps that followed and I came to Cyprus with enough confidence and I can say that I am leaving with even more confidence».
At the same time, regarding the visit of Zaglis, the President of KOK, Andreas Mouzouridis, said:
