The women’s national handball team lost 20-32 to Romania in the second matchday of the Euro 2024 qualifiers and suffered their second defeat since that against Croatia last Wednesday in Zagreb, hampering the task of qualifying for the final stage.

In the second half, Romania’s experience and quality did not let the representative group get close to the score.
The next matches of the national team are on February 28 and March 2 against Bosnia.

We have to keep all the positives, improve our weaknesses and go into the two important games with Bosnia in the best possible conditions.”
Katerina Mania said: “It was a very difficult game, we knew it from the beginning. I think all the girls gave 100%, we did our best. We continue with our goal in both matches against Bosnia, which we want to be victorious.”
