Devil’s week… joy for Monaco, it “hit” Alba too

He recovered after the nightmarish start Monaco!

The French team responded to the 2 defeats at the start with 2 consecutive victories in the “devil’s week”, since after Red Star he won her too easily Alba Berlin 86-75 for the 4th matchday of the Euroleague, going up to 2-2.

The Monegasques found themselves in the dark for about a half, however, from the third period onward they hit the gas, pushed the lead to double digits and never looked back, forcing Germans in their 4th loss in as many games.

Leader of the winners was again Mike James, who had 17 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Alpha Diallo scored 9 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists, while he helped with 5 points and 2 assists in the few minutes used by Kemba Walker. From the losers, he tried with 17 points Matt Thomaswhile Sterling Brown scored 15.

The match

THE Monaco came into the game with a lot of pace and took advantage of her advantage to escape with 12-3, keeping the German attack stuck and finding solutions aggressively with Motieyounas and Brown. Quickly in the third quarter, the home team restored their big lead after going on a 9-0 run with James and Diallo for 56-43. The two were in excellent form and continued strongly, increasing their team’s lead to +16 (62-46) for the first time. Alba was able to respond with a Justin Bean layup, but couldn’t get close enough and the third period ended at 67-56.

In the last quarter, the Monegasques took care early on to put the game to “sleep”, since with two three-pointers by his hand Cornell they were at +14 (63-59).
