“War” of announcements between Panerythraikos and Herakles

We would like, first of all, to congratulate the referees Gerakini, Katotikidis and Papageridis, who despite the pressure exerted on them by the home team, were fair with any human errors that may have occurred during the game. We cannot, however, not refer to the inability of the commissioner of the match, Mr. Georgikopoulos, to comply with the prerequisites for the smooth conduct of the match.

Never, after all, were the instruments of order called from his side, seeing friends of Heracles on purpose behind our bench, encouraging the members of our mission, especially in the second half of the match, which was visible even in the live televised coverage of the game.

How can we forget that they even enlisted a well-known water company on the last game of last year’s regular season in order to finish all the other games that were being played at the same time and know the results so that their own result could be shaped as it would be convenient for to serve specific groups? The whole basketball community is talking about it even now!

So we thought that Panerythraikos is enjoying the experience of Ivanofeios, since he did everything last year to relive it.

We are also surprised by the selective memory of the people of Panerythraikos (none of whom were on the field, only friends and girlfriends of its players) and the coach of Mrs. Houhoulis. They summon Heracles and the commissioner of the match because they did not remove fans and supporters who were behind the visitors’ bench in the second half, but at the same time without mentioning the event that caused this situation and forgetting that he opened a dialogue with them from the beginning and despite our recommendations not to do so.

They neglected to mention the athlete Manoilovic who, when he scored a three-pointer in the middle of the 3rd period, turned to the stands passionately making provocative gestures and saying “different”, “dynamizing” the atmosphere, which is not mentioned on the score sheet. Fortunately, there was indeed TV coverage to confirm this (we want to believe that the athlete’s reaction was not intentional).

Also, the TV coverage showed, fortunately, the unique atmosphere of Ivanofei, there was no mention of anything negative, and the organizers of the match pointed out the same. On the contrary, many reports were made about the amazing atmosphere, which is created only in Ivanofeio and is an advertisement (also) for this year’s championship. Maybe some people like the opposite, maybe they like stories, but luckily Greece knows…

We will therefore turn to Mr. Houhoulis because yesterday he was also the one who acted as a coach – manager – president – fan of the Pan-Erythraikos (others absent) and we will advise him in the future to be more careful and not to provoke, not to open a dialogue with the stands , trying to convince that last year the well-known water company was… responsible for… flooding the stadium and the mops.

Also, as the home team, it is good to avoid last year’s “anxieties” when, as a “promoter” (sic), he went around the stadium and threatened referees, the police, the commissioner, “crying” on the phones to various people, as he did yesterday, he told the world to get out of the stadium, he wouldn’t give the tickets, while at first he let people in without a ticket and then he said they didn’t pay.

We, for our part, want to thank our fans who made yesterday’s match another celebration for the Association and helped our Team to the fullest to reach a just victory. We should note that yesterday the associates of Mr. Houchoulis thanked us for the hospitality and for the good cooperation! They probably didn’t tell him!

Finally, we believe that Mr. Houhoulis, instead of dictating announcements that are oceans away from reality, should apologize to the basketball community and not only, for what happened last year.

That it hasn’t happened yet makes us very curious. The authorities should punish with sanctions the coaches, who with their behavior distort results, and shape the basketball map of the country, depriving with tolerance many, from Greek Basketball, teams with people, history and dynamics and not “beaters” stars”, underlings of agents, who rise and… fall on their own, dealing damage and leading to championships with… off!

At the same time, we want to wish good luck to the team of N. Eritrea and good strength to the athletes of Mr. Houchoulis. This year’s Eric Dunan Elite League championship is indeed exciting from the first matches and it will continue like that if we all guard it!
