Saša Ilić was born on December 30, 1977 and is one of the biggest personalities of Serbian football, as he is the record holder in the history of Partizan during his football career and was an international with the national team of Yugoslavia. At the same time, he played for Telta, Galatasaray, Salzburg while he passed through our country in 2009 with AEL.
COACH SASHA ILITZ
Saša Ilić started his coaching career from 2019 taking charge of the minor national teams of Serbia and in March 2021 he became the direct assistant of Dragan Stojkovic in the national team of his country.
In August 2021, he left this post in order to take over for the first time the technical leadership of a club, specifically that of Serbian Čukaritski. He stayed until April 2022, having a total of 27 matches with 12 wins and only 4 losses, leading his then team to 3rd place in the standings and by extension to the Europa Conference League qualifiers.
In June 2022, he took charge of Bulgaria’s most successful team, CSKA Sofia and stayed until July 2023. During his tenure at CSKA Sofia, his former team achieved a record scoring harvest in recent years with 84 points, claiming the championship until the last matchday from the dominant of the last 12 years, Ludogorets. In total, he sat on the bench of CSKA Sofia for 44 matches, having 30 wins and only 7 losses, also leading them to European competitions.
In total, in his career in Čukaritsky and CSKA Sofia he has 71 official matches, with 42 wins and only 11 losses.
