Djuricic: “I’d rather not score a goal all season and win the title”

by

In the presence of Panathinaikos in the first 45 minutes of the derby with Olympiacos stood the Filip Djuricic in his statements about the match with Rennes pointing out that in this match the team proved that it can play as it wishes in any venue. The trefoil ace admitted about tomorrow’s game that it is difficult, like everything with the French teams, stressing that he and his team-mates must focus on their game and not on Rennes.

Djuricic’s statements in detail:

As to whether it has been adapted:

“I will answer honestly. I’m starting to adjust better. Against Olympiakos I said that it is the moment to show my best self. I knew that the match is important for the team and the fans. I played a good game, but the important thing is that as a team we showed that we can play the way we want at any venue. I personally don’t expect to be at the same level every game. I’d rather not score a goal all season and win the title.”

On how he experienced the atmosphere in the match against Olympiakos and how it will affect them in view of the sequel:

“I would not like to comment on the last game. I want to emphasize that I am happy that we all faced the situation together. It was difficult, but we were all together.”

On whether the match with Rennes has common characteristics in relation to the one with Marseille:

“It’s always difficult a game against French teams. Rennes are a young team and they are motivated. We have to think about ourselves. We did our preparation. We have to think about our game, especially because we are playing in front of our home crowd.”

On his coexistence with Bernard:

“They comment that we have the same tactics. We don’t see each other as competitors, we are together and the coach decides how to use us. We are all improving every day. The important thing is that the team improves every day.
