The season for the Bucks started with a derbywho welcomed the Sixers to Milwaukee, and with one awesome Damian Lillard they managed to get the victory (118-117) in the NBA premiere.
The experienced playmaker, in his first official game with the “deers”, finished the game with 39 points (5/8 2-pointers, 4/12 3-pointers, 17/17 shots), 8 rebounds and 4 assists, having a decisive contribution to Milwaukee’s victory over Philadelphia.
Giannis Antetokounmpo made the first double-double of the season with 23 points (10/19 2-pointers, 3/9 shots) and 13 rebounds, dished out 3 assists, while having 2 steals and 2 blocks. At the same time, the Greek superstar he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in another categorybeing now the player with the most baskets in Bucks history.
The guests made sure to make it difficult for Milwaukee, managing to pull off a turnaround at 4:16 before the end, leading 102-104, but Lillard with 9 points and a two-pointer from Antetokounmpo managed to “lock” the match for the Bucks, sending a message about their moods this season.
For the Sixers, the duo of Tyrese Maxey (31 points, 8 assists) – Kelly Oubre (27 points, 9/11 shooting) was excellent, but Philadelphia traveled to Wisconsin without James Harden, while Joel Embiid did not show in good condition (even though he had 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists).
Next game for the Bucks in the early hours of Monday (30/10, 02:00), with the Hawks again at Fiserv Forum, while a day later (31/10, 03:00) the “Stags” will welcome last year’s finalists Heat by Jimmy Butler.
The twelve minutes: 30-23, 63-54, 88-85, 118-117
