World record for Greek Boxing: 12 out of 12 medals won by our National Team

With 12 medals, 7 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze, our National Youth Boxing Team returned from the Balkan Championship held in Botosani, Romania, from 18 to 29 October 2023.

For the first time in the history of Greek Boxing, our National Team, with 12 great sportsmen and women, managed the impossible, to win an equal number of medals and indeed 7 out of 12 were gold, in a Balkan Championship that both the level and the opponents of our national team were mostly athletes with important distinctions to their credit.

Our Golden Balkan Champion Evangelia Angelopoulou was awarded by the President of the European Boxing Federation Mr. Ioannis Filippatos as the best boxer in the Korasides of the Organization.
