by

THE Lionel Messi was the big winner of the 2023 Ballon d’Or, capping the top individual award on his sensational performances at the World Cup in Qatar, where he took the Argentinian national team by the hand and led her to win the prestigious trophy after 36 years.

After the award in Paris, the Adidas uploaded on social media a “mythical” photo, in which Pulga wears eight golden rings, related to the Ballons d’Or and their meaning is absolutely special, as they remind of successes that marked his career, probably, greatest football player of all time.

First, the 2009 ring is about the kiss he gave his shoe after scoring his final goal Champions League against Manchester United, while in 2010 the goal celebration dedicated to his grandmother, who pushed him to succeed in football but passed away when he was a teenager.

The 2011 ring features Messi as GOATin 2012 is about the 91 goals he scored in a calendar year and is a world record, while in 2015 he won the fourth Champions League of his career.

Adidas for its award in 2019 stood at the conquest of the sixth Golden Shoe (here he also holds the record for the most), while for 2021 his conquest Copa America with the “albiceleste” and the 2023 ring is dedicated to the World Cup he lifted in Qatar, being the tournament’s top player.
