Monza sank Verona – Kyriakopoulos assisted!

by

Monza Promenade in Verona. Giorgos Kyriakopoulos’ team prevailed 3-1 at “Bedegodi” and returned to winning ways after two unsuccessful results.

In the 41st minute, the guests opened the scoring. They went on the counter-attack with Kolpani, who passed the appropriate pass to Colombo, who executed the opposing goalkeeper. The same player gave the visitors a two-goal lead in the 73rd minute with an elusive left-footed shot from the edge of the area. In the 84th minute, Kyriakopoulos took a corner from the left and Cardirola sent the ball into the net from close range. Folorunso scored the goal of honor for the hosts in the 86th minute.

Monza continues on a European trajectory, while Verona is in danger of falling into the danger zone. It was the home team’s 4th consecutive defeat in the league and five in all competitions, which brings coach Marco Baroni closer to the exit door.
