K.A.E. PANIONIOS announces the reaching of an agreement with the coach, Aris Lykogiannis.

The team’s new coach was born on April 10, 1969 and from 2001 to 2006 he worked at Sporting. They were followed by Pagrati (2006-2008) and Ikaros Kallitheas, with whom he won promotion to the A1 category in 2010.

In 2012 he left Ikaros and took over Solna (in Sweden) but soon returned to Ikaros which, in the meantime, had “moved” to Chalkida.

In 2014 he agreed and assumed the technical leadership of Kolossos Rhodes where he stayed until 2018 with an interim “stop” for two months at Panathinaikos where he joined the coaching staff of Sotiris Manolopoulos for the PlayOffs.

He then worked for Holargos in the team’s first appearance in the Basket League and led the team to the PlayOffs. In the summer of 2019 he returned to Rhodes and Kolossos for one season and in December 2020 he signed with PAOK where he stayed until February 2023.

Aris Lykogiannis stated the following:

I am very happy to be in the PANIONIO family. The Eric Dunan Elite League championship and the team’s goals are a big challenge for me, personally.

I wish everything goes well and through our presence on the pitch and the way we approach every game, to live up to the management’s expectations and satisfy the world’s thirst for success».
