THE Charles Leclerc he was half a second faster than Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso and 9 tenths faster than Max Verstappen in the second round of free practice at his track Las Vegas.

In order to fix the track surface problem, the second period of free practice in Vegas began with two and a half hour delay at 2:30 in the morning and finished at 04:00!
Big loser of this chaotic first day in Nevada was the Carlos Sainz, as one of the concrete caps caused damage to the Ferrari car and the team had to change the engine, battery and central electronic unit. In fact, although the damage was done through no fault of his own, the Spanish pilot was penalized 10 places at the start for exceeding the annual limit for the use of mechanical parts.
