The IBA Board of Directors has decided to take a number of steps to strengthen the federations, which are facing many problems due to the health crisis.
“Only with strong national federations will we achieve our ambitious goals. “Our main concern is to support national federations, especially in these difficult times, where the pandemic is hampering many sporting events,” said IBA President Umar Kremlev.
The World Federation has decided, among other things, to support the development of boxing in Greece, which lately has been proving in practice that it wants to dominate the international scene. Our country has undertaken two international competitions in 2022, while at the same time the many appearances of Greek athletes in international competitions give incentives to the international federations to invest in Greece.
The first support measure decided is that the annual subscription for 2021 will not be paid, while many proposals have been put on the table that will help the development of the sport and will be presented soon.
