Micic on his experience in the NBA: “When you have back-to-back games it’s really very difficult”

by

After five successful years at Anadolu Efes, winning two EuroLeague titles and as many Final Four MVP awards, the Vasilij Micic made the decision last summer to… give in to the “sirens” of the magical world of the NBA and move to the other side of the Atlantic.

The first period of the Serbian guard in the top league of the planet was not the most ideal, since he counts 7 appearances with 3.6 points and 2.9 assists on average in just 12 minutes of participation in their shirt Oklahoma City Thunder.

Speaking of her experience of his time in the NBA, the experienced ace referred to what has been the most difficult for him, but also to the daily life and training routine in the limited time between games.

“It’s different from Europe. When you have games two days in a row it’s really hard. I don’t understand how the players here can stand it. I’m still recovering from my last trip to Portland.

There is less practice, but more concentration. We have a lot of video analysis, from which we have to learn a lot. That’s what I’ve learned in the NBA so far. Of course, I still follow some of my habits from the past in Europe, which I have to do here in training as well.”
