Within 2023, the 4th of the 6 developmental open championships of this year’s table tennis series will be held and it will be the 2nd and last in Attica. In the role of host, A.S. Pera Athens, the large and historic association, which in the last two decades has shown its own tradition of holding competitions for young athletes. The upcoming tournament of E.F.O.E.P.A. will take place on the weekend of December 9 and 10 at the Byzantine Sports Center (Megalis tou Genus School 10 Alimos) under the name “Open Panhellenic Championship “AS Pera” 2023-2024″. The declarations of participation are in progress, they are submitted electronically to the federation until Wednesday 29/11 at 16.00 and a strong interest has already been expressed by the athletes. It will be the 11th with an open character from the association, the previous one was held in March 2022, while the first three, about 20 years ago, were held by invitations.
As every time in the institution, the categories of Young men-Young women, teenagers-teenagers, boys-girls, boys-girls and mini-boys-mini-girls have been announced. The group draws will take place on Friday 01/12 at the office of the Technical Committee of E.F.O.E.P.A.
The schedule and times will be announced on the federation’s websites after the draw of the matches, however the basic schedule of the tournament foresees starting on Saturday 09/12 at 8.00 and ending on Sunday 10/12 at 17:00 (always the schedule of the matches depends on the number of entries per category and in total). The games will be hosted in the hall of the Byzantine Sports Center, with the joint seat of A.S. Pera and A.O. Tataula has, as is well known, a large training room just below.
