With first place in the group, Panathinaikos qualified for the final phase of the men’s Europe Trophy

The men’s table tennis team of Panathinaikos confirms its superiority in Malta in the most convincing way.

On Saturday 09/12 he easily doubled his victories for group A of the so-called Region 4 of the Europe Trophy and already secured the first place and qualification to the final phase of the competition. The 2023 Attica Cup was imposed on Zeleznicar by Serbia with 3-0 and in combination with the rest of the results it has already secured the top spot in the group no matter what happens in the last game on Sunday. The 1st place in all groups of the Regions of the first phase directly gives the ticket to the Grand Final, while the 2nd in each region play a play-off match. Panathinaikos, in yesterday’s premiere in Valletta, defeated the Italian Marcozzi 3-1 and ends the games tomorrow 10/12 at 1pm by facing the host MIT TTC.

In today’s 2nd game, there was no pressure against Zeleznicar. Lined up with the same trio as the premiere, he prevailed 3-0 and without losing a set. Nikos Antoniadis sat on the bench. The coach is Lefteris Makras and the team manager is Tasos Symeonidis.
