by

AEK faces Thursday night (22:00) in Amsterdam Ajax in the context of the 6th matchday of the Europa League groups where it will look for victory in order to continue its European journey in Conference League.

With his statements at the press conference, the coach of “Ayanta”, Van de Schip referred to tomorrow’s match, revealing the absence of the captain of his team, Steven Bergwijn, who in the last game of Ajax was injured and replaced, while noting that the Brombay will be available again. In addition, the Dutch coach emphasized that he knows the “Union” footballers: “Bergwein is not in good shape. We don’t know exactly how long he’ll be out, but we know he won’t be playing tomorrow. Brombay is ready. He trained as usual yesterday and has no problem. I know some AEK players. I know Mandalo, Rota, Galanopoulos and Athanasiadis”

In closing, he referred to the upward trajectory of Ajax with him on the bench: “If we make a comparison with five weeks ago, I think we are doing well. We are moving forward with slow and steady steps. I came in the middle of the season, unprepared. I can’t expect rapid changes.”
