With an “outbreak” in the second half, the Red Star defeated Alba Berlin 85-71 at the “Stark Arena” for the 14th matchday of the Euroleague and reached 5-9 their record and 14th place, leaving the Germans at 2-12 and consistently in last place.

With a show by Nedovic and Giedraitis, Asteras went on an 8-0 run and reached 59-42 at the start of the third period. Vetzel with a personal run reduced the score to 59-46 and, with the difference going up and down to +11 to +13, Giedraitis’ three-pointer made it 66-50 and with Napier’s actions, the third quarter ended at 71-53.

In the fourth quarter, it took three minutes to score a basket and 71-55 by Thomas, with Brown going on a 4-0 run of the “albatross” for 71-57. Davidovac’s 3-pointer made it 76-59 and two runs by the 6.75 Serbian international forward made it 82-62. Nedovic brought it 85-65 and Alba with a 6-0 run reduced it to 85-71, which was also the final result.
