“PAE PAS Ioannina 1966 announces the start of cooperation with Michalis Grigoriou.
Michalis Grigoriou was born on December 19, 1973 and as a football player he played successively for National Piraeus, AEL, Xanthi, Naoussa, Chaidari and Agios Dimitrios.
His coaching career began with the team with which he hung up his football boots, Agios Dimitrios in the 2003-04 season. In January 2005, he took over as coach of Athenian, with whom he completed the 2004-05 season. Then he was on the bench of Fostiras Tavros (2005-2007) and from one year at Aeoliko Mytilini (2007-08), P.A.S Corinth (2008-09), National Piraeus (2009-10) and Doxa Drama (2010) -11).
In January 2012, he took over as coach of Panseraikos,[10] in which until the end of the 2012-13 season. In the summer of 2013 he became the coach of Corfu where he remained until the summer of 2015. That year he took over the technical leadership of Atromitos from which he left in November 2016. In the summer of 2016 he returned to the island of Phaeacians for Corfu and the presence there he brought him again to Athens, on behalf of Panionius. In Nea Smyrni he remained for a year guiding the Neosmyrniotes and in Europe before leaving at the end of the 2017-18 season.
In the summer of 2019, he was on the bench of AEL. He remained in Larissa until November 2020, while in December of the same year he was on the Lamia bench until February 2022. His last job was Ionikos, which he took over in January 2023.
The new coach of our team counts a total of 511 appearances in all professional categories with 202 being at Super League level. At the same time, he has coached both Panionios and Atromitos in matches for the Europa League qualifiers.
His direct partner will be Nikos Panagiotaras, while together with Michalis Grigoriou, the team’s technical team consists of gymnast Giannis Georgiadis, the goalkeeper coach, Kostas Paganias who was in the team again in the 2012-13 season, and Nikos Iosifidis the who will have the role of analyst.
