With a two-pointer by Bohorides in the last second, the Thessalonikians ended the first period at +3 (21-24), while in the second quarter they again found solutions offensively and climbed to +5 (26-31).
With a basket by Akiel, the Turks reduced the difference (35-37), but the team of Yannis Kastritis found a way to escape (38-44), finishing the first half with a basket by Bohorides and at +5 (41-46).
Toliopoulos started the second half with some mistakes, but he corrected them with a three-pointer and an assist to Blumbergs for 43-51 at 23′. The hosts managed to trap Aris aggressively and find solutions offensively, reducing to -3 (53-56), while with Wallace leading the game they brought the match to a point (57-58). From there, however, the guests reacted and with five personal points by Stark in the end they increased the difference at the end of the period (59-66).
With a three-point shot by Galinat, Aris sent the difference to double-digit levels (59-69), while despite Turk Telecom’s attempt to remain in contention for the match, the Thessalonians with an 0-11 shot the difference to +18 in the 34th minute (62-80). The Turks fought in the end, going down to -10 (73-83), but Aris was serious, showed he wanted the pink card more and in the end got it with a score of 94-85.
