Zouglis: “Let’s become a dynamic team again that will stand worthy against the bigger teams”

How do you judge the year so far? An account of the team’s progress so far.

So far I can say it’s been an up and down year but that’s normal for a team. However, we are in sixth place in the league leading to the playoffs, we want to maintain this position and we will try to achieve it. Whenever we achieve some of the goals we have set.

What has Rastavac’s return changed in the team?

The return of the coach and his staff to the team radically changed the performance mainly in the psychological part but also in the physical condition part. Still as a team we are trying to tie more the offensive and defensive part which is constantly improving – week by week – in training and so given the effort that all the guys are making in training I believe we will manage to improve it.

Based on the work that has been done, what else can we expect from the team from now on? What would you like to see improved?

As I mentioned from the beginning, the defensive and offensive part is what we are trying to improve in order to become a dynamic team again that will stand worthy against the bigger teams

Can you remember what is, for you, your top moment in 2023?

If I could single out the best moment in 2023 maybe I would single out two moments rather than one. The first would be my first professional participation against PAS Ioannina and the second moment would be the first call to the national team (U21).

A wish for the new year, for the world in general but also the world of the team?

My wish is that there is love and joy in the world, that it overcomes every problem that arises and of course that the violence in the stadiums and in general also stops. So people will be able to return to the stands to support their team. As a reference to the world of our team, I wish to make them proud at the end of the year because we know how important a role the team plays in the life of a fan.
