Artemis Theriaki “passed away”.

She breathed her last at the age of 37 Artemis Theriaki.

The weightlifting champion was defeated by leukemia, as announced by the Federation. Theriaki had been named champion of Greece several times, while at the same time she was a member of the National team.

2023 leaves with very bad news for the weightlifting family. Artemis Theriaki died in the early hours of Sunday at the age of just 37 defeated by leukemia, a month after the death of her mother also from cancer.

Who was Artemis Theriaki?

Artemis Theriaki was born on October 14, 1986 and was a Greek weightlifter. She was an athlete of Pelopa Patras and started Weightlifting in 2002. She had been crowned champion of Greece several times and was a member of the national team.

Greek women’s champion at 69 kg in 2006, breaking her own previous performance by lifting 84 kg in the arache, 96 kg in the zette and a total of 180 kg. In 2006 at the European Union Championships in La Coruña he won the bronze medal at 69 kg lifting 81 kg in the deadlift, 98 in the zette and 179 in the total. In 2007 he won six medals at 63 kg in the Panhellenic championship».
