Coromilas vindicated by Euroleague – Bribery complaint dismissed

She rejected Euroleague the complaintMykola Ambrosov for attempted bribery that he claimed was given to him by Ilias Koromilas in the second final of the Eurocup 2021 in the match between Unix Kazan and Monaco.

“As announced on August 3, 2023, Euroleague has conducted an internal investigation, through an independent investigator, into the alleged attempted bribery of a member of the refereeing team in the second game of the 2021 EuroCup Finals series, as publicly reported by the referee Mykola Ambrosov.

As a result of the investigation and based on the data collected and analyzed, it emerged that there is no clear evidence to establish bribery, which makes the case inconclusive against the persons involved and therefore dismissed.

Euroleague remains committed to protecting the integrity of its competitions, implementing the strictest monitoring protocols in order to identify potential acts that threaten the principles of fair play, which are at the core of its values.”.
