Juan Munafo, when he was competing for the first time in the Stoiximan Super League championship, in August 2009, certainly could not have imagined that he would become one of the important pieces of his history.

The Argentinian midfielder came on as a substitute for Anestis Argyriou in the 2-0 PAS Ioannina – Panthrakikos match on August 30, 2009 and a little more than 14 years later, he made his 317th league appearance at the same stadium.

This presence saw him now alone in 5th place among the leading foreigners in appearances in the A’ National/Super League and he left behind Daniel Batista, who had closed his career in the division with 316 matches.

The next milestone for Mounafos is the 332 appearances of Matias Iglesias, who is in 4th place in the relevant ranking. At the top of the list is Krzysztof Vazeha with 390 appearances, followed by Predrag Djordjevic with 375 and Toni Savevski with 357.

Mounafo has written these appearances in the colors of Panthrakikos (32), Asteras Tripoli (235) and Platanias (50). In these matches he has scored 13 times, while he has 26 appearances in the 3rd National Team and 25 in the 2nd National Team. He has a total of 422 official games in Greek stadiums in all categories and all competitions with 14 goals.

He is the leading football player of Asteras Tripolis in Super League participations with Matias Iglesias being the second (189), Geronimos Barales third (172), Nikos Papadopoulos fourth (130) and Andres Sito fifth (125).
