The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has announced the ban of Israel’s national team from the World Championship and all other competitions it organizes in order to ensure “the safety of all participants”, including the Israelis.
“After careful consideration of the situation, the IIHF Council has decided that, given the concerns expressed for the safety of all participants in the championship, Israel will no longer participate in IIHF competition until further notice.“, states the relevant announcement of the international federation.
