The 29-year-old Turkish central defender was born in Trabzon on March 13, 1994. He started his football career at the academies of Trabzonspor and Idmanokaji, until in 2012 he started his professional career at Bolusspor. He continued at Arsinspor, followed by four years at Sansaktepe and one at Sanliurfaspor. At the age of 25, he was transferred to Kechiorengyutsu. In January 2021, he was acquired by Adana Demirspor, with whom he won promotion to Turkey’s top division. After two great seasons at Demirspor, he was signed up by Fenerbahce in January 2023 and immediately became a key member of the team, also competing in the knockout phase of the Europa League. Last season, the Turkish Cup was celebrated.
Akaidin is an active international with the Turkish national team and becomes the first Turkish footballer to wear the shamrock shirt.
