Stoiximan Super League: Full schedule, with super matches and a “cherry” in Thessaloniki!

by

Volos-PAOK

The two teams have met a total of 13 times independently of home and tournament, with PAOK maintaining the unbeaten record against the Magnesia team and having 11 wins and two draws.

In their last four matches that have taken place for the championship and the Greek Cup, PAOK has four wins without conceding a goal, while Volos has managed to score in one of the last four and that was in Toumba.

In the five matches that have been played in Volos, the Magnesia side have never managed to score and the only harvest of a point was on September 26, 2020, when the game ended in a goalless draw.

PAOK has scored nine goals in its matches with Volos in Magnesia and until the last match between the two teams there was no footballer who had scored more than once for Dikefalo. Brandon Thomas, who found the back of the net in both the regular season game last season and the playoff game, became the first to score a second time.

This season Stefan Schwab managed to score in both matches played by the two teams for the Greek Cup.

Atromitos-AEK

AEK has won six consecutive matches against Atromitos in home and away matches and in the last five without conceding a single goal. The Peristeri team last scored on January 17, 2021 in a 2-1 defeat at OAKA, while in that season (2020-21) they had beaten Kitrinomavri 1-0 for the First Round in Peristeri.

That 1-0 victory of Atromitos (24′ Gouta) on October 4, 2020 came after five consecutive wins for AEK in league and Greek Cup matches against the Peristeri team in both venues.

Matches with few goals are usually those between Atromitos and AEK with the Peristeri team at home. It is characteristic that nine of their last eleven meetings have been decided by one goal, five of which have ended 1-0 in favor of the home team and four of which AEK has won 1-0. The routine has been broken by the 1-1 in 2017-18 and the victory of the Yellow and Blacks with 2-0 in 2021-22.

In total, the two teams have met 21 times with Atromitos at home, who as a newcomer in 1972-73 won 1-0 (Misailidis 61′) and in his second year in the First National/Super League the most goals were scored in meetings between in both teams with the final 2-2 (85′ Kotsalos, 90′ Pantelidis – 10′ Tsamis, 75′ Ardizoglou) sealing their efforts.

1-0 is the most frequent score in their matches, since it has appeared six times in favor of Atromitos and another six times in favor of AEK. Three of their six draws have been 1-1, while there have been two goalless games (0-0) and 2-2 in 1974-75.

Only Ismael Blanco has managed to find a goal in two consecutive games between the two teams, after deciding the 0-1 in 2009-10 and in 2010-11 he scored AEK’s goal in the 1-1 draw, while for Atromitos he had scored Anastasakos.

Panathinaikos-Asteras Tripoli

Panathinaikos has won in only two of the last ten matches against Asteras Tripoli in the meetings between them in both venues. The Arcadia team had built a tradition that saw them not lose to the Greens for seven consecutive games, where they had three wins and four draws at home and away.

This streak of seven matches was broken in the last game between the two teams at the Alexandra Avenue stadium, where Panathinaikos prevailed 1-0 thanks to Aitor’s goal in the 80th minute. This victory was the 10th for the Greens in the 19 matches they have hosted Asteras Tripoli.

Panathinaikos even prevailed with his favorite score, since five of the ten victories against the Arkadia team are 1-0. The second most frequent result between them is 1-1 and 0-0 draws which have been recorded three times each.

Panathinaikos prevailed 4-1 in the first round match in Tripoli and the last time they scored two wins in the season against Asteras was in 2016-17, when they prevailed 3-1 at the Alexandra Avenue stadium and 5- 0 in the Second Round encounter in Arcadia.

Marcus Berg with five goals in the home matches with Asteras Tripoli is the footballer with the most goals. Next is Hatzigiovanis, who has three goals.

The first meeting between the two teams with Panathinaikos as the home team was on February 3, 2008, when with the goals of Etoi and Salpingidis they prevailed 2-0.

Ares-Olympiakos

Aris scored two victories last season in the two matches that welcomed Olympiakos for the regular duration of the championship and the Stoiximan Playoffs. The Yellows prevailed 2-1 both times, while their previous victory was again 2-1 for the 26th matchday of the 2021-22 championship.

Only in one of the last ten games between them in both venues has there been an away victory and this has been achieved by Olympiacos for the Playoffs of the 2021-22 season with 1-0 thanks to Tiquinio’s goal in the 55th minute of the match.

Aris will host Olympiacos for the 64th time for the championship of the A’ National League and in the previous 63 matches, Olympiacos has a slight advantage, having won 22 matches, Aris has 19 wins and 22 of their matches have ended in draws.

Aris has managed to create two streaks against Olympiakos, after remaining undefeated for nine consecutive matches. The first time was from 0-0 on February 9, 1975, until March 18, 1984 when it was defeated 3-2. During this time he had 4 wins – 5 draws. The second was from January 3, 1988 when they lost 2-1 until May 8, 2000 again when they lost 1-0. Again the tally was 4 wins – 5 draws.

On the other hand, Olympiacos created their own streak at the beginning of the matches, after winning 3-1 in their first meeting for the A’ Ethniki and Aris scored their maiden victory on January 7, 1968. In these eight matches which kept Olympiakos unbeaten, had five wins and four draws.
