by

England’s WTT Feeder will take place in Manchester from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th February and will feature four members of our National Table Tennis Teams. Panagiotis Gionis, Elisavet Terpou, Malamatenia Papadimitriou and Dimitra-Thomais Tsekoura will make new competitive tests in singles and will seek new points for the world ranking.

The three gymnasts travel to the English city on Wednesday as they begin their quest from the qualifying draw on Thursday. Gionis, who will compete directly in the main draw, will go to Manchester on Thursday directly from Poland, where he plays on Wednesday with Bogoria Grodzisk in the first quarter-final of the Europe Cup against Gwiazda Bydgoszcz.

The head coach at the English Feeder will be the men’s national team player, Kostas Vatsaklis, who will also leave Athens on Thursday.

Manchester entered this year for the first time in this series of World Federation tournaments. It will host the games at the “National Cycling Centre” and will bring together almost 100 athletes who are looking for strong matches less than six months away from the Olympic Games in Paris.

The program also includes the doubles events, but there will be no Greek presence there. The draws take place on Wednesdays.

World Table Tennis appointed Dimosthenis Messini as competition manager of the games.
