The hosts, however, maintained their small lead by continuing to hurt AEK near the basket (22 of their 33 points came from the paint), while Gaudlock “heated up” in the last minutes of the first half, scoring 9 straight points and blowing the difference in favor of Kolossos for the first time in double digits (42-32)., and then he made a 9-4 run, ideally closing the first half of the match (51-36).
The picture of the game did not change in the third period either, with the Colossos maintaining complete control. Tillman cut it to 51-38 with an impressive follow-up nail, but Brajkovic answered immediately for 53-38. Perantes with a step back three-pointer made it 59-42, while the unlikely Goudlock hit again for a three (4/5), reaching 20 personal points and jumping the difference in favor of the Colossus to +20 (64-44)! Brajkovic reached 18, making it 66-47, while AEK, among other things, also missed shots (14/22), allowing Kolossos to catch his scoring average, a full ten minutes before the final. , with the imposing 80-55 with which the two teams entered the “final stretch”.
