Good performance from Despollaris in Ghent

Georgia Despollari is impressive again. The 20-year-old middle distance champion clocked 2.05.88 in the 800m at the Ghent indoor meeting, marking the second best performance of her career in the event and placing seventh in the event.

First was Chige Duguma from Ethiopia with 2.01.45.

Yannis Nyfantopoulos started the indoor season with a new individual record. The 33-year-old sprinter in the 60m heats in the Belgian city finished in 6.68, bettering his 6.71 from last year.

A little later, in the final of the competition, he took third place with 6.71.

Thodoris Vrontinos finished in 6.77 in the 60 meter qualifier, while in the final he was sixth with 6.74.

In the 800 meters, Anthi Kyriakopoulou finished in 2.07.60 and was 12th overall, while Katerina Koutli finished in 2.13.01 and was 39th.

Haris Xenidakis finished in 1.50.41 and was 14th in the 800 meters. In the same competition, Christoforos Koutlis covered the distance in 1.58.46.

Melissa Anastasakis had a good performance in the 1,500 meters, who improved her individual record, finishing in 4.28.30 and taking 12th place overall, leaving history with 4.29.45.
