On Monday morning (05/02) o. was brought to the Barcelona court Dani Alves for his trial on charges of sexual assault to a 23-year-old woman in a nightclub last December 2023.
In her testimony, the young lady said that the former Barcelona player he punched her in the genitalswhile the victim’s witness emphasized that the 23-year-old was taking medication, he can’t sleep and she does not go to work, affected by what has happened.
In detail, what was said at the trial:
Testimony of a 23-year-old woman: “The three of us danced in the nightclub, in front of the VIP area. Two Mexicans came down and asked us if we wanted to go with them to the VIP area. We went and sat with them for a while. They insisted we go to a table they wanted.
That man (Alves) was standing there. He had a slimy attitude, put his hand on my back and almost touched my m@@. I went to the other side of the table, almost alone.
I told my cousin “she just punched me in the genitals“.
Victim Witness: “I have known her since she was three years old and I have never seen her cry like this. Her cousin calls me and says she has to leave. He tells me “he came in, he hurt me a lot”. We were crying, I didn’t know how to react at that moment.
It was not consensual, no, no, no. I was shocked. Today she is very bad, she has lost a lot of weight, she is stressed. She has reduced her circle of friends.
He picked her up and threw her on the floor and said something like “you’re my little whore”. He has received psychological treatment. She is obsessed with everything, she does not leave the house. She thinks everyone is looking at her and taking pictures of her.
“She has to take medicine, she doesn’t sleep. She’s started taking anti-depressants. She didn’t even take a paracetamol before for a migraine. She doesn’t work and for her her work is what she likes the most. We cry day after day… I don’t know , it’s wrong”.
I cut my cousin and she told me that Alves was really insisting that they go somewhere. He did not want. He was telling him in five minutes and at the end I think Danny opened the door, I thought it was a smoking room. Danny was waiting at the door and my cousin went. I couldn’t see what was going on inside at all times.
My cousin was late to come out, I saw that her face was very bad. He told me he had to leave, we left there. Before we got to the locker room, my cousin told me that he had hurt her a lot and finished inside. I gasped, I couldn’t say anything else.
The security guard asked her if it was consensual. They told us they had to activate the protocol and took us to a more private room. He said he didn’t want to mention it, that he wanted to go home.
