The match

Gaddy, Ray, Rogavopoulos, Miles and Grant started the match for Prometheus. The Greek international with five points and one assist led his team to a good start (7-5), however Bursaspor took the lead and highlighted the defensive weaknesses of Patras. The hosts were annoyingly misplaced, but at least they managed to limit the damage and close the half at -10, 30-40.

The image of Prometheus did not initially improve in the third ten minutes. Freeman continued to hurt the home defense, with Dusan Alibijevic’s team reaching +15 (30-45). Somewhere there, however, the match started to turn around! Ray’s first three-pointer dropped the difference to single digits (40-49) and the Achaeans took the lead approaching the shot, 51-53, with Agravanis’s three-pointer in the final of the season. The overthrow ended with a three-pointer and a foul by Giannopoulos 6:48 before the end (60-57), while another of his “bombshells”, as well as a goal foul by Hunt, threw Prometheus at +9, 68-59. The hosts, however, were left without a score in the last 4:46 of the match, allowing the Turkish team to return and equalize with Touren at 46 ”. Agravanis and Ray missed a winning shot for Prometheus and the match was led to extra time.

The guests approached 24 ” and 6.6 ” before the end, but Rogavopoulos with 1/2 shots gave one last hope to Bursaspor (83-80). Hunt’s foul was rightly not given unsportsmanlike at 2.9 ” before the end, but Brown inadvertently missed the first and obviously intentionally in the second shot, with Prometheus winning.
