Fierce Arsenal put in one of their best performances of the season to force compatriots West Ham to a historic draw with 6-0 at the London Olympic Stadium! This is the heaviest defeat of all time, regardless of the organization, of the “hammers” against the “gunners”, which actually forced thousands of home fans to leave the stadium before the first half even ended! Also, she is biggest away win for Arsenal in the championship!
We remind you that 1.5 months ago, on December 28, 2023, West Ham beat Arsenal 2-0 and Dino Mavropanoin fact, to score, in a result, however, that was little magical picture. Tonight, however, Mikel Arteta’s… bloated team left no room for the hosts, even though the first goal came in the 31st minute! From that point, however, and up to 45’+2′, i.e. 14 minutes, Arsenal scored four goals!
In the 32nd minute, after his corner kick Rice -who returned as an opponent at London’s Olympic Stadium- Saliba opened the scoring from the second post. In the 41st minute, Saka with an accurate penalty kick, which he won himself, made it 2-0, while in the 44th minute, Gabriel made it 3-0 with a header from a foul again by Rice! However, it also had a cherry on top… Because Trossard at 45’+2′ with a nice right-footed finish inside the area made it 4-0 at halftime, forcing, as we mentioned above, several West Ham fans to leave disappointed and irritated, early on, for the their homes!
Moyes, at the start of the second half, passed him Black cloth in his place tragic Zumawith the Greek stopper na agrees somehow the defense of the “hammers”, Arsenal, however, found a way to score two more goals. In the 64th minute, Saka scored for the second time, sending the ball to the left of Areola, while the final 6-0 was made by Rice, in the 66th minute, hurting his former team for good.
With the imposing “three point” at the home of compatriots West Ham, Arsenal made it four wins in a row and are always in the title race, having again “caught” City in 2nd place and together they are -2 behind Liverpool. The “citizens”, of course, have fewer matches.
