Kuya’s appeal was partially upheld, his sentence reduced

The penalty of Alexis Kougia was reduced, for what happened in Corinth matches. We remind you that he was sentenced to 3.5 months, but after an appeal that was partially accepted, his sentence was reduced to 57 days.

In detail, the announcement of the Appeals Committee of the EPO:

“The EPO Appeals Committee made the following decisions at its last meeting.

1) Formally accepts and essentially rejects the appeal from 1-24-2024 of the union “A.O. Agios Nikolaos of Crete” against the association “Atromitos Piraeus” and against No. 53/22.1.2024 final decision of the EPO Disciplinary Committee.

2) Rejects formally and essentially the appeal of the union “Thermaikos Thermi” against decision No. 67/25-1-2024 of the Disciplinary Committee of the EPO.

3) Accepts formally and partially in substance the appeal of Alexios Kougias, president of the “PAS Corinth” union, against decision No. 69/2024 of the Disciplinary Committee of the EPO.

It reforms the decision and orders the appellant:

a) penalty of banning entry to the locker room area and to the playing field for fifty (50) days for the violation of article 10 par. 1 par. d I of the P.C. consecutively and

b) penalty of banning entry to the locker room area and to the playing field for fifteen (15) days for the violation of article 10 par. 1 para. e of the P.C.

Determines the total ban on entry to the locker room area and the field of play imposed on the appellant, which he sets at fifty seven (57) days.

It imposes a fine of 1,000 euros on the association “PAS Korinthos”.

He threatens the union “PAS Korinthos” with a fine of 2,000 euros in case of non-observance of the above total penalty of entry ban.

4) Accepts formally and partially in substance the appeal of Alexios Kougias, president of the “PAS Corinth” union, against decision No. 71/25.1.2024 of the EPO Disciplinary Committee.

Reforms the decision and imposes on the appellant the disciplinary penalty of banning entry to the locker room area and to the playing field for fifteen (15) days, for the violation of article 10 par.1 para.d of the P.C. .

It imposes a fine of 500 euros on the association “PAS Korinthos”.

It threatens the union “PAS Corinth” with a fine of 1,667 euros in the event of non-compliance with the above total penalty of entry ban.
