Spanoulis’ first selections for the National Team: With few absences and… a lot of Euroleague

Her first mission National team by Vasilis Spanoulis on the counter is a fact. Kill Bill has selected 16 players for the first two matches of the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers, on 23 February in SEF against the Czech Republic (21:00) and on 26 of the same month in The Hague against the Netherlands (19:30).

There are players from EuroLeague teams on the list (since the competition has been suspended for the “windows”), but not all are available. Present will be Papanikolaou, Larentzakis, Walkap and Mitrou-Long from Olympiakos and Mitoglou, K. Antetokounmpo, P. Kalaitzakis, Moraitis and Mantzoukas from Panathinaikos.

Slukas, Kalathis (who, however, want to be available for the Pre-Olympic Tournament) and Dorsey were left out, while on the contrary, Papagiannis and Rogavopoulos, who are also from the Euroleague, are in. Toliopoulos, Bohorides (Aris), Kouzeloglou (AEK), Charalambopoulos (Sassari) and Zougris (Peristeri bwin) have also been invited.

It is noted that in each game only one can be available between Walkup and Mitrou-Long.

The preparation will start on Monday 19/2 at SEF and the 16 players called are as follows:
