Europa League: Accounts are settled and qualifiers are “sealed”!

by

Time to judge the qualifiers for his “16”. UEFA Europa Leaguewith great matches.

After impressive results, but also… collected matches, the 16 teams facing each other, will be invited either to make big upsets, or to put a “stamp” on their tickets after their wide victories.

In the second category belongs Milan who seven nights ago at San Siro beat Rennes 3-0 and go to Brittany to finish the job. Afterwards, Karabagh wants to celebrate in front of its people a great qualification, since in the first match it passed like a siphon from the home of Braga with a score of 4-2, holding the qualification “tightly” in its hands. On the other hand, Sporting after the 3-1 win at the home of Young Boys wants to sign “José Alvalade” for their presence in the next round.

Nevertheless, there are enough open fronts for the qualification. The focus is on Rome where Roma host Feyenoord in a replay of their 1-1 draw at De Cap, while Marseille host Shakhtar at the Velodrome after a 2-2 draw. In Freiburg, it will also be decided which team between the namesake and Lance will celebrate after the 0-0 draw in the first half.

Galatasaray, who beat Sparta Prague 3-2 at “Ali Sami Gen” and go to the capital of the Czech Republic to defend qualification, and Benfica, who after the 2-1 win over of Toulouse in Lisbon will be looking for a qualifying score in France.

It is reminded that in the Playoffs, the runners-up of the Europa League groups face off (based on the draw that took place on December 18) with the third-placed teams from the group stage in the Champions League. The winner of each pair will advance to the Europa League round of 16, where West Ham, Brighton, Rangers, Atalanta, Liverpool, Villarreal, Slavia Prague and Bayer Leverkusen await (for a new draw).
