New complications for Promes: He was arrested and detained in Dubai for cocaine trafficking!

by

He is said to be in trouble with the law once again Quincy Promes. The Dutch winger who has troubled the authorities of his country numerous times and has been sentenced to prison for a series of offenses but avoids arrest because he plays in the Spartak Moscow and resides in Russia, now appears to be detained by its police Dubai.

His former star Ajax stopped at border control and not allowed to travel with his teammates back to Russia after a tour of UAE. The reason is the charges against him in the Netherlands, as a result of which the Arabs temporarily detained him.

THE Promes was sentenced in February to six years in prison for his part in the smuggling of more than 1,350 kilograms of cocaine in January 2020. Last year in June, the Dutchman was sentenced to 18 months in prison for stabbing his cousin. Most recently, he was also charged last May with involvement in the smuggling of cocaine, which was… intercepted in Antwerp in January 2020 in the form of two consignments of 650kg and 713kg each. The cocaine is believed to have been hidden in a shipment from Brazil, from where the drugs were transported in two containers to the Belgian city.

Now, it remains to be seen how the Russian state and team will handle this case, trying to find a way and a deal for his return Promes.
