Stoiximan Super League: Now the good stuff begins!

LAMIA – AEK

Lamia will participate for the first time in its history in the process of the Stoiximan Playoffs and becomes the ninth team to put its name on this list since 2019-20 when the process also takes place with the participation of the first in the standings. In general, in the Playoffs in all formats that have been held from 2007-08 until today, 13 teams have competed and Lamia becomes the 14th.

This is the 8th time that AEK will host AEK and so far they have not managed to score a victory against them in matches for the championship, since in their seven meetings so far they have two draws and five defeats, while as a guest they have seven defeats in equal number of games.

AEK has prevailed in their last eight consecutive home matches and in fact in seven of them Lamia had not managed to score even a goal. This happened in their last meeting, which took place on February 24, 2024 in Lamia and the Yellow and Blacks won 3-1.

OLYMPIAKOS – PANATHINAIKOS

The last meeting of the two teams with Olympiakos at home was for the “16” of the Greek Cup, where the Greens qualified in the penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw in regular time and overtime. For the league it was October 22, 2023, with the stoppage in the 50th minute.

This is the 70th derby to be hosted by Olympiakos for the championship since 1959-60 and the establishment of the First National/Super League. Olympiacos has 31 wins, Panathinaikos 14 and the other 24 matches have ended in draws.

The two teams have only met in the playoffs the previous four years and never before. In these four matches there are three victories of Olympiakos and one of Panathinaikos. The Red and Whites have won 1-0, 3-1 and 3-0, while the Greens won 2-1 in 2021-22.

PAOK – ARIS

For the fifth consecutive season, PAOK and Aris will face each other in the Playoffs of the championship and for the sixth time overall in their history. Dikefalos have a better record in their away matches against the Yellows, where they have three wins and one loss, while as a home team they have two wins, a draw and a loss.

In this year’s game against Toumba for the regular season, the score was 0-0 and PAOK did not follow up on the three consecutive victories it had since the Second Round of last year’s championship and the two matches for last year’s Playoffs in which it had prevailed in both matches . Aris did the same in 2021-22, winning both matches for the Playoffs process.

This is the 65th meeting between the two teams with PAOK at home since the formation of the A’ National/Super League, with Dikephalos having 34 wins, Aris 11 wins and 19 games having ended in a draw.
