THE PAOK welcomes Aris behind closed doors in Tuba for the premiere of the Stoiximan Super League playoffs process and is looking to get back to winning ways after the poor performance and defeat by Dinamo Zagreb.
In his statements to the NOVA camera, Mr Swahili Meitesaid that in life there are not only victories and successes, while he added that the “black and white” have a good opportunity to show that they are the best team of Thessaloniki.
In detail, what Swaliho Meite said to NOVA’s camera:
“I think we made enough mistakes in Zagreb and they cost us. It was a bad night, but we better talk about Sunday’s game, which is very important».
On the team’s reaction after the Conference League defeat: “We have learned in life that there are not only victories and successes. It is in football life a bad result. What you have to do is look ahead and the future and learn from your mistakes. So here too we have to focus on playing with Mars, fight and get back to success».
On what the championship means for him and his teammates: “We are happy to finish at the top of the table, but there are also the Play offs. There are five home games and five away games, but the league actually starts now».
About what they learned after the first encounters with Mars: “We didn’t beat Aris, but it’s a good opportunity to show that PAOK is the best team in Thessaloniki. It’s nice to say it in words, but you also have to prove it on the pitch».
On whether PAOK should change anything ahead of the playoffs: “We don’t need to change anything. Everyone pretty much knows what to expect from us. We have to stick to what we are doing, play with the same intensity and believe in our work. We have to be focused and it will pay off in the Play offs as well».
As for whether there are more important games than this against Mars: “There are no more important games than the rest. They are the best teams in the League, but all the games are equally important».
On the absence of the world from the premiere of the Play offs: “We are used to playing without our fans. We have been deprived of them in the previous two months. They are very useful in the field, adding a lot of pressure to the opponent and giving us energy. We are used to it and we will play for them in the game as well».
